Do you suffer from Canker Sores ? It is a good idea to see how your mouth reacts to eliminating Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) and Mouthwash with high concentrations of alcohol in your oral routine. There are quite a few products on the market, approved by the ADA that do not contain SLS. Experiment to see if your mouth feels better after a few weeks.
1. Check to see if your toothpaste contains Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS). SLS is an unnecessary ingredient added to toothpaste that causes it to thicken and foam. SLS can actually be quite agitating, and it could be the source of your canker sores.
2. Another product to eliminate in your routine is mouthwash with high concentrations of alcohol. It is natural to want to swish and disinfect the mouth. However, that can do more damage than good, depending on the additives.
