What is a dying tooth?
The tooth has three main layers: Enamel, Dentin, and Pulp. Blood flow to the tooth’s pulp is vital in order for a tooth to stay alive.  Without that blood supply the tooth will start to die and will eventually fall out. You may notice some pain or some discoloration that will continue to darken as time goes on. Prevention is key. Good oral health habits and seeing your dentist every 6 months are very important. At Spanish Fork Dentistry, one of the things we look for at all regular dental checkups is any signs of problems that can be helped or fixed before the dental issue gets worse. Take time for your teeth. Remember: being proactive and trying to prevent problems for the future is one of the best things you can do for your oral health. 🦷🪥✨
